Does the new Marketplace replace PharmXchange?
Yes. The new Pharmx Marketplace is an enhanced version of PharmXchange, and all users will be automatically migrated to the new platform. You’ll enjoy a range of new features, including stock availability, an expanded range of over 40,000 SKUs and fast reordering capabilities based on your purchase history.
It also retains and enhances the favourites you already love – from multi-supplier checkout and planogram-based ordering to a centralised promotions hub, seamless POS integration, and flexible payment options.
How is pricing shown on the Marketplace?
The Marketplace uses your own purchase history to display the ‘last price paid’ for each product, giving you clear visibility of pricing based on your actual trading terms. For products you haven’t purchased before, or from suppliers not yet connected, the list price will be displayed instead. This creates a dynamic, personalised view of pricing, making it easier to buy confidently and competitively.
What if a supplier I order from is not available on Pharmx?
We are continually working to onboard as many suppliers as possible. If a supplier you regularly work with is not yet available, let us know, and we’ll reach out to them. Alternatively, you can introduce Pharmx to your suppliers and connect them with us—we’re happy to begin the onboarding process.
How much does Pharmx cost?
Pharmx is a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to supporting the growth of pharmacy businesses. For this reason, we provide our services to pharmacies at no charge.
Our commercial model is funded through account fees and commission-based payments from supplier partnerships. Some suppliers may choose to pass these fees on to pharmacies at their discretion. Pharmacies can easily identify suppliers applying these fees by viewing the information available on the Marketplace platform.
